Join our Float in the Mardi Gras Parade, Sunday, February 14
It’s hard to imagine that it's been 30 years since we crushed our first grapes out on Rock Creek Road. What a great ride it’s been. We're kicking off our Anniversary celebration with a Float in the Nevada City Mardi Gras Parade – and YOU ARE INVITED!

We would like to encourage anyone who would like to be involved to jump on board. Delia and Lori are heading up the project so you know it will be fun. Marchers: Beads, exotic hats, be as creative as you like. Following the parade, join us back at the Winery to toast our 30th Anniversary! We are planning to open and share Delia’s Balthazar bottle of Syrah!

What could be more fun than an exhilarating evening that transports us to a different time and place? It's fun to play dress up and the 50s are such a rich playground.

Whether it's your bad boy leather jacket or your good girl poodle skirt, it's time to tease your hair and puff up that pompadour. Get ready for a winter party. We'll be spinning some platters with some classic vintage tunes. So whether your dreaming of Love Letters Written In The Sand or wearing A White Sport Coat And A Pink Carnation we'll Rock Around The Clock.

Plus we'll have a few trivia questions just for fun. Did anyone drink wine in the 50s?

Don't be square. Be there.

Lynn Wenzel and Judith McCarrick have been colleagues for years. The share a love of collage, color and re-purposing and beautifying objects. Though their work is different in its execution, it all reflects their dedication to extending the lives of "throw-away" items.

"I have always been fascinated with color and texture with an “edge”.  Collage, graffiti, and mail art, comics and pop art all intrigue me. In this series I’ve “up-cycled” boxes and cartons and denim jackets that would normally be discarded, assigning them new personalities with completely different messages." Judith McCarrick

Their work will be on display at the Winery throughout February.

2006 Merlot

Rich and boldly flavored but without excessive tannins, this wine is loaded with lots of fruit, body and texture offering aromas of black fruit, licorice, spice and oak. This is a full-bodied, beefy style of Merlot that is perfectly suited to partner with steak or grilled meats.
