2004 Cabernet Franc

2004 Cabernet Franc

The father of Cabernet Sauvignon, but more subtle and less tannic than its offspring. This wine offers plenty of old-world structure with hints of cedar and violets on the nose and flavors of ripe blueberries, chocolate, plums and black cherries. The tannins are medium-soft and in perfect balance. This wine owes more to France's Loire Valley than Northern California and continues to gain complexity with bottle age.
