Four Bottle Club

RED

For the September Wine Club release, we are excited to share an extremely special three bottle vertical. Each wine in the vertical is made from the same grape varietal and from the same vineyard, but harvested in three consecutive years. Tasting them side-by-side enables you to experience the evolution of a specific wine over time, as well as better understand the effects of other influences such as weather, technique, and blending. It is rare to be able to offer a three-vintage vertical and we are very excited to share it with you.

ABOUT VERTICAL TASTINGS

Vertical tastings are a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends while learning something new about wine.

Vertical wines are typically served in chronological order, from youngest to oldest. By tasting in chronological order, the progression allows the wine-taster’s palate to build throughout the tasting.

Add a twist to the vertical tasting and do it “blind.” Conceal the bottles by wrapping in foil or placing in brown bags. The objective could be to determine which wine is the younger and which is the older of the three.

Whether you are a connoisseur or a novice, there is always something new to discover about wine. We here at Nevada City winery are excited about this vertical and thrilled to be able to share it with our members.
