Operations Manager & Winemaker

Cathy joined the Nevada City Winery team in June 2023 as a Tasting Room Host. Bringing her background in program management, education, and nonprofit leadership, she quickly took on additional responsibilities. Now serving as the Operations Manager & Winemaker, Cathy oversees the Tasting Room, Marketing, and Wine Production. In the cellar, she works closely with her mentor and retired winemaker, Mark Foster, who led winemaking at Nevada City Winery for over 30 years. Cathy is passionate about the future of Nevada County's longest-running winery and is equally dedicated to preserving the rich history of winemaking in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.
