About The Event
A show by acrylic & mixed media Artist, Michelle Jewett will be on display at Nevada City Winery, from April 4th through April 30th. The opening reception will be Friday April 5th, 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Classical Guitarist Ken Jewett will be performing from 5:30 – 7:00 pm.
Come view diverse, color-full, compelling art work, meet the Artist, sip some exceptional wine and be serenaded by lovely classical guitar music.
Michelle is a self-proclaimed “eclectic painter.” Her collection of work includes abstracts, collage abstracts, landscapes, and still lifes. The “Festival of Color: Landscapes and Abstracts” show will include several new works. Among the new work will be Michelle’s most recent exploration of acrylic pouring. About these paintings, she says “…I am intrigued by the organic and free form of a variety of pouring techniques. Pouring involves chemistry and physics, which speaks to the engineer in me (having been an engineer) as well as color theory.”
