“Of Salt and Sun” is a unique body of experimental photographic art from artist Ellen Davis. Utilizing the cyanotype process -which is one of the earliest photographic processes and produces blue-toned prints - she presents work made with a technique that she developed. Her images of plants and ocean waves shine with jewel-toned colors and sparkle with gritty salt crust textures.
