Priya Hutner’s new memoir, Finding Nirvana: A Seeker's Story of Love, Loss, and Liberation, chronicles her years inside a cult-like community—and how she ultimately found the strength to leave. Sands Hall shares her own powerful story in Reclaiming My Decade Lost in Scientology, reflecting on her time within Scientology and the long road back to herself.
With Kim Culbertson—author most recently of the novel Other People's Kids—guiding the discussion with her signature insight and curiosity, these three authors will explore cults, resilience, and the writing life, including the similarities and differences between memoir and fiction.
