Tasting Room Host

I am originally from Southern California, but I left in the late 1980s to live in Boulder, Colorado, and later in Austin, Texas. I have long been a wine enthusiast, and while in Austin, I spent six years working for a wine-tasting company—a job I thoroughly enjoyed. I retired from the University of Texas in 2018 and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. In 2024, I decided to settle down permanently and chose Nevada County to be closer to my three sons and their families and close friends. 

 

 I became a Tasting Room Host at The Nevada City Winery in June, 2026 and am very grateful and excited to be part of the team! 

 

 My passions include live music, good food, wine, nature, family, and friends.
