There’s something magical about late afternoons in downtown Nevada City. The light begins to fade, the air cools, and the heartbeat of the town slows to an easy rhythm. Just down Spring Street, that rhythm drifts into Nevada City Winery—carried by laughter, clinking glasses, and the soulful sounds of local musicians.

 

Every Thursday evening from 4:00–6:00 PM, our tasting room comes alive for Locals’ Night. It’s a cherished community tradition—a place where friends meet after work, new faces are welcomed, and the energy is always upbeat. Guests enjoy $2 off select wines, Tailored Tidbits charcuterie, and rotating local art displays, all while local artists fill the space with live music. From blues and folk to acoustic rock, the sound changes weekly, but the spirit of togetherness stays the same.

 

Then, as the weekend winds down, we trade the buzz for something a little slower. Our Sunday Afternoon Music, held from 3:00–5:00 PM, offers an easygoing, end-of-week escape. Guests gather on the patio with glasses of wine, soaking in live performances while the sunlight filters through the trees and across Deer Creek. It’s the kind of afternoon that invites you to linger—one more sip, one more song.
