About the Show

Artist Lynlee Lyckberg’s new works for “Memory in the Field of Play” is akin to the experience of peering through a beckoning window that enthralls and mystifies you. As you look closer, her images capture the sensation of that evanescent moment between dreaming and waking.

As the viewer explores Lyckberg’s works, they will discover shapes intertwining with hints of haunting mirage-like images; a face between wisps of trees, silhouettes, toy figures, faint words, a grinning animal, or an oblique angled house that awakens your sense of space.

Lyckberg’s rich use of layered, mixed media textures add to the opportunity these works offer to see beyond, to find the subliminal unknowns and treasures we all carry.
