Local Origami artist Daniel Brooks is December's featured Artist of the Month here at Nevada City Winery. Enchanted with Asian art, Daniel began mastering the craft of Origami. His love fashion, fabrics, and Japanese symbolism became the inspiration for his exquisite and unique collages. Brooks combines simple materials including paper, string and mat board into three dimensional expressions of art that are unique and original. Meet Daniel in person this Friday, December 6th, during the Artist's Reception from 6-8 pm. Discover Daniel's art all month at Nevada City Winery.

Our 2009 Gewurztraminer, an absolutely delightful wine, is another winner earning top honors for Gewurz at the El Dorado County Fair with a Gold Medal and Best of Class Sonoma (where the grapes are from) award. Now we’re pleased to say it scored 91 points and Best Gewurz Sonoma County Appellations at the 2012 California State Fair. Eight additional wines won Medals as well!
